19.10.2013 Cake sweeps board at CIPR PRide awards 2013

We are very proud to have scooped four prestigious awards at the 2013 Wales Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards, announced at a black-tie dinner at The Hilton Hotel, Cardiff.

This year saw hundreds of the region’s leading public relations practitioners attend the annual awards ceremony, hosted by Matt Johnson of ITV’s This Morning.

The judging process for the PRide Awards is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners. We picked up one gold and two silver awards for our ‘A Woman’s Place?’ campaign for Chwarae Teg and also took silver in the ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ category.

The judges said: “Cake’s campaign was beautifully presented, clear and concise, with highly professional objective setting and strategy, followed through with a range of targeted, imaginative and inclusive tactics, including infographics and an interactive quiz. It shows that real results in the public sphere CAN be achieved on a modest budget.”

CIPR CEO, Jane Wilson MCIPR, commented: “The Welsh CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and communications campaigns and teams from across the region. The sheer number of high quality entries received this year, especially when things are still pretty tough out there economically, is testament to a thriving regional industry. The CIPR PRide Awards represent the best, most creative and most effective public relations work across the UK and to win an award is a great achievement.”
