07.10.2014 Cake wins Brecon Carreg account for national PR and digital campaign

Cake Communications has won an annual contract with Brecon Carreg to manage national PR and social media efforts with a strong focus on Wales.
Cake will run Brecon Carreg’s dedicated press office and support the amplification of major sporting sponsorship deals that include Run Wales, Cardiff Blues, Cardiff City.
The Cardiff Bay-based agency won the contract following a competitive four-way pitch process. The agency, founded by former journalist Sara Robinson, adds Brecon Carreg to its existing FMCG portfolio that includes e.l.f cosmetics.
The retainer will cover PR and social media activity that specifically taps into the brand’s Welsh heritage and places water at the heart of health, wellbeing and lifestyle across all platforms.
Sara Robinson, founder and managing director of Cake, said:
“This is a fantastic win for us. Brecon Carreg represents a further move into national FMCG clients for the agency. We’ve matched a team to this client that not only truly believes in the brand and its ethos but is made up of the most active members of the team, never seen without a bottle of water. We’re particularly excited about the creative campaigns slated for early 2015.”
The account will be headed up by Ruth Walters. Ruth has previously worked at agencies that include Hotwire and Weber Shandwick, managing client portfolios for Samsung, Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson.
