Paul Vann


Paul has spent most of his professional career within the “Square Mile”, initially gaining ten years’ experience in corporate finance stockbroking and investment banking, advising on M&A, equity fund-raisings and numerous IPOs. He has spent the last 25 years working in Corporate and Financial Communications for both large and small public and private companies, financial institutions and professional practices including PWC, DLA Piper, Ashfords and Henderson Global Investors (now Janus Henderson). During this time he has built an extensive network of contacts within the financial and professional services media and within the City of London investment community.

Radio 5 Live is always on in the car, in the evenings I’m a big Netflix fan and love the History and Yesterday Channels; for news, I’m an online Times subscriber; homepage on laptop and iphone is but Twitter tends to always get there first.

Witnessing the birth of my first daughter (three more followed in quick succession!!); Travelling the Garden Route from Durban to Cape Town, South Africa - such a beautiful country.


Isle of Skye (and acquiring a longstanding taste for the island’s Talisker Malt Whisky); Lantic Bay, Cornwall for swimming and surfing.


I’m an old fashioned red meat-eater - venison, or a lovely rare ribeye steak.


Any quality Real Ale or malt whisky.


Playing Squash and tennis; live music gigs (especially 70s and 80s artists); keen interest in local and national politics.


Watching live sport, especially following my home team Liverpool FC and my adopted team Plymouth Argyle.
