16.05.2016 Twitterview: Sara Robinson, Managing Director

The rules are simple: 13 questions, 140 characters to respond. Up this month is Sara Robinson, our Managing Director.

Bio – Mam, MD of @brightercomms, fan of social justice/bikes/words/music. Cymraes. Optimist. Soul sister. Fledgling runner. Vinyl collector. ENFP.

Best thing about your job? Working with a lovely, talented team who inspire me means work is genuinely fun for me, and I know how lucky I am to be able to see that.

Your desert island disc? As a committed vinyl collector it’s too difficult to choose one, but if forced I’d say Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.

Your desert island book? It would have to be long, so Yeah Yeah Yeah: The Story of Modern Pop by Bob Stanley should keep me busy for a while…

What’s your free time treat? Listening to records, cycling, running, reading, cooking, travelling…all of these are treats to look forward to!

Favourite place? Barafundle beach in Pembrokeshire, Laugharne in Carmarthenshire or Havana in Cuba – all equally special to me for different reasons.

Pet hate? Injustice, inequality, intolerance…people whose pet hates exclusively start with the letters IN….

What makes you smile? My nine-year-old son makes me smile every day as does the lovely team at Brighter Comms.

Words of wisdom? An idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all.” – Oscar Wilde

Favourite place to eat? Ichiban, Yo Sushi or Wagamama. I just love Japanese food.

Guilty pleasure? Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell album and Percy Pigs. Preferably together.

A secret you don’t mind sharing? I have a tattoo on my hip of a Clash lyric that my mum told me I’d regret. I don’t yet.

What couldn’t you live without? Music. I’m a frustrated musician with zero talent living my life vicariously through others.
